Pet Cremation Process
Not all crematories are the same. We are proud of the level of professionalism, which we bring to pet cremation. Loving Pets Crematory technicians are nationally certified by the Cremation Association of North America, a voluntary certification process. Our certified technicians follow a very detailed cremation procedure. Each pet entrusted to our care is tracked using our exclusive process:
- An identification band (anklet) is fastened around one leg of the pet upon removal from place of death or, if removal is not made by Loving Pets personnel, upon arrival on premises.
- Each pet is assigned an identification number, which is imprinted on a steel identification disc and personalized ID stickers (labels).
- Each cremation is recorded on a Time Tracking Graph. After the cremation process is complete, this graph is retained on file at the crematory.
- The steel disc is fastened by twist tie to the sealed plastic bag containing the cremated remains and is placed in the urn selected by the family.
Loving Pets Crematory has an "Open Door Policy" and encourages tours of our facility, including our modern crematory. We believe owners should be allowed to see the crematory, if they choose. And, for those who wish to do so, our crematory is designed to allow pet owners to witness initiation of the cremation process.
